Richard D. Peterson, CSA, RFP, BA
Richard is President of
Capital Financial Group, Inc. located in
Akron, Ohio.
He first started
servicing his clients in April 1982.
He is a Registered
Financial
Planner and a Registered Investment
Advisor. His clients
primarily consist of seniors and retirees, so
Richard has also earned his Certified Senior Advisor designation
to be able to attend to their
specific needs.
Richard has been a constant
student of his industry by attending
industry seminars, educational
functions and completing over 180
hours of Continuing Education
classes. Richard conducts his own
workshops and seminars for seniors
and they are considered by
many to be the most educational and enjoyable
seminars around.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
Management
from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. He has worked for some
of the
industry leaders including John Hancock Financial Services and
Transamerica Financial Services.
Richard and his
wife Donna have two children, Tonya and Ryan.
He has resided in the Akron area his entire life and feels that
the
people are some
of the best in the country. He is an avid jogger,
and enjoys the area
parks tremendously.
Through the years of
learning and talking with many clients, Richard has
decided to make
Capital Financial Group Inc. a fee based firm when it
comes to dealing
with securities and investments for his clients. They
have voiced
their opinion over the years that they prefer to receive
unbiased
advice and did not like the way the brokers were giving them
information about investments which happened to be "products" that they
were also selling.

Inc. was built on the foundation of offering its
valued clients fair, competent, and objective advice. It strives to exceed
each of its clients expectations with outstanding services and attention.
This type of strategy
involves gathering more information from the client
so that an accurate
assessment can be made. This allows the client to
receive a
comprehensive plan that will take into account as many variables
as
possible to make the plan a precise, accurate, and comprehensive one.
Aaron Dorner, Financial Consultant
Mr.
Dorner is a resident of Medina where he has lived most of his
life. He is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace college where he
obtained
his bachelors degree in Business Administration. Aaron has
experience from such companies as Edward Jones and MetLife
financial services. Aaron can now assist his clients with fee-based
investment and planning services, as his clients have voiced their
opinions and what they prefer, which is to unbiased
objective information that will help with their individual financial
situations.
Aaron enjoys the outdoors and gardening. His likes to jog and is an exotic parrot enthusiast. Aaron is dedicated to meeting the needs of the people he serves with competence and compassion, by providing quality products and services with a personal touch. Aaron specializes in the Long Term Care market and can be a great help with a family's investment and insurance needs as well.
Tina M. Lawell, Web Designer
Tina was born and raised in Ohio. She lived in New York for seven
years, then moved back to Ohio
where most of her family
resides. Tina is now a resident of Copley
with her husband,
John and their two children.
While in New York Tina worked as a Certified
Doctor's Assistant.
Prior to that she worked in the financial and
banking industry
for over 16 years, as an Administrative Assistant
in the
Research and Development, Training and Documentation and
Marketing Departments.
In the warm, summer months, she enjoys being
outdoors golfing,
gardening, bike riding and swimming.
Melissa Kovach, Executive Assistant
You can expect a warm and gracious smile when you come into the Capital Financial Group. Melissa is more than happy to answer your questions when you call, or ready to offer a warm cup of coffee when you arrive in person.
Melissa was born in Medina, OH and now lives with her husband
Chris and her two children Morgan and Ronan in Wadsworth. She
has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and
was a flight attendant with Continental Airlines before she was married.
Now that her children are in school, she is back in the work force in
the financial industry.
Melissa is able to assist and help in many different ways, so if there
is anything you may need, you are in good hands with Melissa.
Lisa Cox, Assistant
Lisa is a life long resident of north-east Ohio and currently lives in Bath with her husband Mike. She has two adorable children named Savana and Cidne, who keep her busy when she gets home at night.
Donna Peterson, Event Director
Donna is a life long resident of the area and currently lives with her husband in Bath. She enjoys the outdoors, particularly walking in the area parks. She enjoys spending time with her two children Tonya and Ryan, but mostly now with her dog Dusty.
Donna is in charge of setting up the seminars and workshops and special events. She is determined to make these events as enjoyable and informative as possible.
